Sorry but without that background you just elaborated upon, we had no way of knowing that detail. It seemed to be a very basic question.
But my male YT could foretell my females' heat about one month ahead of time. My male BRT only got interested about one week before her heat started.
And very interested and focussed butt sniffing was one sign. Another is protective action out on walks, determined urination over her urine, more guardy and barkey behaviour at the door. Every male is different though.
If you have two studs in the house, be very cautious now; but perhaps you know that. You might have to separate the studs; at the minimum you need to be on high alert.
