Yes, a great show. Love Maggie Smith! I was given season 1 & 2 on DVD as a Christmas present, and had a little Downton Abbey marathon. I was able to finish just before Season 3 aired.
The new season starts right after the new year. They air it in the UK right before that, so you kind of have to avoid reading or listening to anything on the subject from over there during that time to avoid spoilers. They aired the final episode of S3 in the UK on Christmas day, and people over there were so PO'd over what happened that it ruined their Christmas.
