I took my little pup to the vet last night for severe tummy upset. I work as a nurse and didn't get home until almost 8pm. The minute I walked in the door, I could tell my little guy was so sick, he couldn't even get up enough energy to lick me hello like he usually does.

He had been vomiting a few times while I was at work and like I said, the minute I got home and saw how sick he was, I took him to the Vet ER. First off, I wanted a tummy xray to make sure he didn't have anything unusual in his tummy cause this little guy gets into EVERYTHING. Even as much effort as we put in to making sure things are up off the floor, he still manages to get a hold of something.

Anyway, the vet was wanting to run over $600 in diagnostics like parvo, pancratitis, etc. I just let her do the xray only and she said there was nothing in his tummy that she could see. So she gave him pepcid, nausea med, antibiotic and a fluid bolus underneath his subq tissue. He woke up still sick this morming but he is just abuot back to his original self.

I guess I'll never know what happened, I've told my family to NEVER feed him any sort of people food.
Oh, how I wish I knew what made him so sick. He was like a sick baby, he was whining and crying.

I have learned how special these pups are. just like babies.
