Cooper and I are currently taking obedience classes, and our instructor suggested using kibble and string cheese as well as "high value" treats when training in order to not have the loose stool issue. I haven't tried string cheese yet since Cooper seems perfectly content with his kibble and a few regular treats. She also said to cut back on the amount of kibble you are feeding at meal times if you are treating a lot during the day.
