Benadryl is benadryl. They do sell childrens because it is a liquid. Bottom line, you need to give the correct dose. You cannot give what you would give a child. I have done both...liquid and pill...but for the pups under 6 pounds liquid is better because it becomes more difficult to get the correct dosage by pill splitting.

But....yes, in order to get the EXACT dose it is good to get the liquid (childrens) as you can calculate it better. As Ellie May said, though you MUST be careful and not mix up ml with mg.
mg is the DOSE
ml is the LIQUID MEASUREMENT
You read how many mg are in each ml when calculating a dose.
