Oh yes, he's getting around teething age. You can give and encourage him to gnaw on ice cubes, many companies actually sell teething toys, ... You can even take his favorite toys and freeze them (I would imagine the rubber - like toys would be best for this) so that when he chews his gums will feel soothed. I've also heard you can take a rag or towel, tie a knot in it, and freeze that for them to chew on. Let me see if I can find a website with more information ...

Toy example: Puppy Teething Stick - KONG **Note: I would not use the Kong brand paste. I would stray away from that -- use a good quality peanut butter if need be (organic would be best, but I'm sure that regular is better than the Kong paste anyway). ^^
