like people some dogs are just more prone to car sickness, and it does not always have to do with fear. Talk to your vet and see what they think and ask if you should try Dramamine or something like that. One of my dogs always felt ill with car rides even though he liked going places, for rides of more than an hour I would give him a tiny piece of Dramamine, but I would not suggest you do anything like this without talking to your vet. I just thought of something, you said he threw up before you went anywhere, fear does set in at some point because it also could be that he now knows the car makes him feel sick, that's how it was with my dog, he would pull on his leash away from the car anytime I got near of it, because he knew he would get sick once inside, it really is hard to tell if it's the fear or the fact that the motion really makes him ill, sorry for this dilemma. |
