I would take him with you and leave him at your parents. I would take a crate or Xpen so he can stay safe and sound. He needs food, water, bed, toys, pee pads all of the needs of a puppy left with him.
7-7 is a long time, however when Peanut was a puppy he was left from 7am- about 6/7pm ish. He did fine alone, I left him all the essentials and no harm was done.
