Oh lord I knew an old cowboy who knew ropes and all kinds of ties and harnesses etc. A lot of cowboys and sailors that live the lifestye all their lives - not those that were just in the Navy or worked at a cowboy job for a while - but those who are cowboys in the saddle now and are sailors who plough the seas on a daily basis still likely will know. Haha. I wasn't talking so much Navy Veterans or servicemen but sailors who work the seas fishing and hauling, etc., as part of their lifestyle.
