Hello,
I'm a stay at home mom with three kids (6/5/4yrs old) and recently a proud owner of an 11 week yorkie. He is my first small dog that Ive ever owned. I've owned two bigger dogs who passed away months ago. So I decided to try a small dog. I need help/ suggestions on what to do with my yorkie next week.
I live in Dallas, TX and I have family who live in San Antonio, TX. I'll be traveling down to San Antonio with my three kids for Vacation Bible School next week. I was thinking about leaving my yorkie home with my husband. He works from 7am- 7pm. So my yorkie will be left alone all day. My husband doesnt have lunch breaks so he wont be able to make it home to let our yorkie out. I've also thought of dropping my children off at my parents house and they take them to VBS and I come back home. However this is my 4yr olds first time to VBS and I feel like he needs me there with him. He's never been alone without the other two siblings. So this is something totally new for him!!!
So the questions are will our yorkie be okay left alone all day until my husband gets home? Or should I travel with our yorkie? My parents did say that if I need to bring our dog its okay, but they rather me not since they have 3 huge adult lab dogs at there home.
Ive tried leaving him in our laundry room for a couple of hours, but he just cries really loud and its breaking my heart. I do own three male cats. One of them is actually best buds with our yorkie. They love to chase each other in our backyard. I thought of leaving them together in our laundry room, but I was afraid of the cat eating all the dog food and the puppy getting into the litter box. I dont know what to do!!!! Please help with suggestions! Ive been stressing this out all week!!!!!
