Default Periodontal Surgery

Our little one Piper is about to go through periodontal surgery to extract some of his teeth! Admittedly, I'm being a big wuss and not coping very well with the idea of him being put under general anaesthetic. Therefore, I thought I'd write a little post here to search for a bit of comfort and sympathy from everyone!

The thing that gets me, is that it has come on so quick. Piper goes to the vet regularly, and just before we moved to France was declared by a vet to be "perfect in every way, other than being a bit tubby".

At the beginning of the year, I took him in for a check up, and he was given a clean bill of health again. Now, he has to go in for the procedure which the vet says will leave him with "very few teeth" in his mouth.

He's still running around and playing as normal and as if he were a puppy still. No lack of energy at all...look at this pic I took of him 3 weeks ago! And he's still like that! I know we tend to be somewhat melodramatic about our own, but I just can't help but stress about the toll it will take on him!
