Before you got her, didn't you expect you'd have to leave her when you were gone with the kids for the day? And I'm sure you thought you'd just confine her until she was trained and have someone look in on her. Just put plenty of pads down and confine to that area so she can't use the wrong spot until she begins to be more fully trained. Leave her plenty of toys and things to play with and have someone check on her if you are going to be all day or take her to daycare or board her and she'll do fine. Just don't feel bad when a dog who is not fully housebroken and not fully confined makes a mistake - it happens and all you can do is expect it for a while yet. In time, a well-housetrained dog will become clean in the house. It really does happen.
