Unlove Never wanted to have a reason to post here

I am asking you all to say a prayer for my friends.

Their names are Joe & Amy, and they are the nicest, more thoughtful, generous, good natured, happy, laid back people I know. The kind of people who would literally give the shirt off their back. Amy's father passed away 2 years ago very suddenly and unexpectedly. That was really hard on her and her sister and their mother. Even though they inherited some money, they live life very low key, not flashy or showy. They love nature, they love hiking, they took in my brother's elderly dog and love her as their own about 2 years ago, they also have a Rottie who is their baby. They are not able to have children of their own due to health issues (diabetes). They love going to Yard Sales and 2 weeks ago they made a yard swing with old skis. Its pretty cool! They are neat people who make the most of their life and the world around them. I admire them very much for being so happy just to be alive.

Well about 4 years ago they got their dog Leo, he was just a small pup, only 10lbs when they got him. He grew to a 160lb Rottie. Nice dog. About 6 months ago he was diagnosed with cancer. They did surgery and had him go through chemo and radiation for 6 weeks. He was in remission, but the kind of cancer he had was sure to come back, the vet thought maybe a year. After that Amy found a lump on her leg, she went to the docs, they did a biopsy and it was cancer. She had surgery and luckily it was not attached to any major vessels or she would have lost her leg. It also was encapsulated and dried out so they got it all and she did not need chemo or radiation. However, she needs MRIs every 3 months for the next 3 years to ensure it won't come back.

Just 2 weeks ago we went hiking with them and I asked her how Leo was doing and she said so far so good, he was still in remission. Well I guess it was not meant to be. He went downhill in the last 2 weeks FAST and they had to make the agonizing choice to have him put down today. I know they are devastated. I also am worried for them about my brother's dog, who is their dog, whom they love, she is 14 years old now (pitty/lab mix) and although she seems healthy, her hips are arthritic and she's old. I pray she stays with them to help them heal a little.

My heart is broken for them, and I keep questioning why do bad things keep happening to these 2 kind, caring, wonderful people?

Sorry so long, I wanted to convey how much these 2 people could use some prayers right now. I just want them to be happy and have something great happen for them. No one I know deserves it more than them!
