uuummm... yeah... LOL All tattoos hurt... depending on where they are, hurts more or less. I have 3 now, one on my upper leg that didn't really hurt too much at all. Another on my foot that hurt like mad crazy! Then this one. This one was going ok, some spots hurt worse than others and at times, during the shading the needle was there a bit longer and that started to hurt, but they lift the needle so often that just when you want to shift away from the pain its gone for a few seconds and thats all the relief you need. The part that really really hurt was the red shading around the edges. That hurt the most because she did it last so the area was already tender and achy. This took about 2 hours to do. I don't think I could have sat there for any longer than that though.
The healing sucks though! It feels like a sunburn for days afterwards so if sunlight is on it, it feels like burning on top of a sunburn. OUCH. It oozes fluids for days, YUCK! Then gets scabby, then flakes off. Its kind of a gross process. Poor DH had to keep lotion on it for me, he still is and he thinks its so gross! LOL I guess he's not too interested in getting one at this point after going through this with me! LOL

I want another one on the side top of my left leg, a string of sun, moon and stars. I might have to design it myself!
