If it's still there, I really would get a second opinion. That looks painful and it can't be fun to try to eat with that. I'm thinking it's got to be more than what he's eating out of. I'd sure change that bowl and get him to another vet before his lip splits or something. Poor little guy. He sure is precious and has just a beautiful face, pretty sweet eyes.
