Google it and you will get a lot of reasons why and most of them are right - they do it for more than one reason depending upon the circumstances at times but it is awfully typical behavior. Most dogs do this at one time or another and some have more than one episode of eating stools in their lives. Tibbe's lasted about 3 weeks but I soon trained him out of it and he lost interest.
