Be sure to call or go online and verify that your microchip contact information is entirely correct. My vet's office loaded my dog's initial information into the system to start with and they had Tibbe listed in the incorrect breed and the home clinic listed for his vet - not his actual vet clinic. Also, after a hurricane where the microchip database is housed, the system dropped some of his information and I had to go update/correct it. Be certain all of that contact info is correct with your microchip company before you leave just to be on the safe side. And then enjoy your trip. I think it's good to get away when you can. And post pictures when you return!!!
