Sounds like your vet wants her to stay over night so she can charge you more money. Millions of dogs ride in a car after many different surgery's. What if she was allergic to the medicine and had a reaction with no one there, or got her cone off and tore open her stitches? There is so much that could go wrong with them being left alone right after a surgery.
