Its not about laws or any thing but the mother club here in America for Yorkshires Terrier's who knows whats better for the breed more then a vet who has to know general things about all breeds and could not possibly know every single best thing for each breed of dog say 12 weeks. The ASPCA put out a thing saying puppies are still learning from there moms until 12 weeks old. I have heard many breeders say there pups don't have all there teeth until 8 weeks at least. The people who sell there puppies very young normally force wean by taking the mom away from there puppies so they can no longer nurse and that is not the way to do things you should let the mother dog decided her time frame unless there are issues. It is a fact puppies learn from there moms until 12 weeks and that puppies who leave there mom early can have a high risk of hypoglycemia, they can have biting issues, potty training issues, and socialization issues. We have had many many people on here who got there pups before 12 weeks and a lot of them sadly have died which should speak volumes in it self. Also you can not leave a 6 week old pup alone for any more then an hour and they need to be feed every two hours. Its up to you if this is the risk you want to take. I know here in the US breeders who let there pups go early just want to save/make more money and if they cut one corner they cut other corners which could leave you with a sick pup.
