I believe it has to do with the rules:

Please note that if you post a For Sale thread, it will NOT BE REMOVED unless it breaks YorkieTalk rules. The contact information you provide will be shown and will not be deleted.

In the interest of fairness for all, and since we do not charge at all for advertising, please do not advertise the fact that you have Yorkies for sale in another person's thread, unless a member is specifically asking for Yorkies in your area (or nearby states) or specifically talking to you. We need to keep threads on topic in terms of the original poster's yorkies for sale, and not focus upon another member's yorkies for sale other than what's been specified above. Spamming is not allowed, you may only post ONE Yorkie For Sale thread per litter. Multiple for sale posts are considered spam and WILL BE DELETED.

Yorkies may NOT BE LISTED until the actual Yorkies for sale are 10 weeks or older. If they are not yet 10 weeks old, we will not allow them to be listed for sale here. There are no exceptions to this rule, so no threads accepting deposits for Yorkies younger than 10 weeks are allowed.

You may only make up to five posts total per week in the Yorkie For Sale forums if you are selling a Yorkie. This does not apply if you are not selling a Yorkie and are helping other members or if you are a YT Featured Breeder. Replies to other Yorkie For Sale threads may not include your contact information. You may privately message (PM) members to reply to Yorkies Wanted threads.

Also, you may NOT post a For Sale thread if your puppies are not born yet. You may not state you will have "puppies for sale in the future" when they are not born, nor are less than 10 weeks.

We do not allow links to breeders websites unless you are a Donating Member who has donated $25 or more to YorkieTalk.

Several members have been complaining that there is too much advertising going on in non-For Sale sections. Advertising pups is not allowed in sections other than this section. Advertising posts in threads that are not related WILL BE deleted, and a warning given. If it continues to happen, and you avoid our warnings, your account may be suspended or even banned. We hope that it does not get to that point.

A member may post one Yorkies For Sale thread per week. Donating Members can post up to two Yorkies For Sale threads per week. You may bump up your thread only ONE TIME PER WEEK only. Any posts you make to your own thread that do not answer any questions will be considered a bump. You may only make up to five posts total per week in the Yorkie For Sale forums, unless you are responding to your own For Sale thread. Replies to other Yorkie For Sale threads may not include your contact information. You should privately message those members that are interested in your Yorkies.

We do not allow ANY threads seeking studs or offering stud services. We do not allow bartering or trading for services or Yorkies or products here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please privately message us. Thank you.

Please include the following information in your for sale post:

You must title your post with your City and State and include your full name (first and last name)

If you list a Yorkie having a Champion dam or sire, you must list the dam and sire's name as well as the registration (AKC, UKC, etc) of the Champion.

Here is a form that must be in EACH For Sale Post:

New Yorkie for sale threads without the below information WILL BE DELETED. Additional information is fine, but all of the below information must be in the post. You must copy ALL 14 lines of this information form to your post and include it in any new threads if you have a Yorkie for sale. If you do not know any particular information, please state "Unknown." Your Name, Location, Phone Number, Email Address, Age of Yorkie(s), and Price can NOT be left blank.

We do NOT ALLOW any Yorkies for sale if you personally aren't selling them yourself unless approved in advance by us. We have had too many issues and problems of members "selling for their friend, etc." If they want to post a Yorkie for sale, let them create their OWN YorkieTalk account and post the details themselves. We will NOT ALLOW any brokers, puppy mills, agents, or anyone posting Yorkies for sale if they are not in your possession. You MUST have the Yorkie(s) in your possession if you want to post in here unless you have permission in advance.

We do not allow threads begging for free puppies or looking for puppies at extreme reduced costs. Yorkies are generally from $500 on up, with most being in the $1000 to $1500 range. Please do not post looking for Yorkies below $500. If your budget for a Yorkie does not allow for $500 or more, you may want to look into Yorkie rescues or adoptions of older Yorkies, as they may be better suited to your price range. Feel free to PM sellers with an offer, but the public forum is not a place to beg or whine for a Yorkie, nor post looking for a Yorkie under $500.

We do not allow Yorkie For Sale posts or solicitations from breeders outside of the United States and Canada. We do not allow stud/bitch service or looking for stud/bitch posts at YorkieTalk. Please privately PM breeders in which you may be interested in working with.

Since posting a listing for Yorkies for sale is completely free, please consider a donation to YorkieTalk if you are able to find your Yorkie(s) a home through YorkieTalk. Thank you.

Please note since there is no "teacup Yorkie" standard, any threads or posts looking for a teacup will be deleted or closed. There is no such breed! The Yorkshire Terrier breed standard classifies Yorkies as up to 7 pounds. They may weigh from 4 to 7 pounds. If a breeder or pet store is selling a "teacup" or "mini", run away! They may be shady and misrepresenting the Yorkie. The tiny ones may be sold too early, perhaps just so they can call them "teacups" or a "mini". If you are set on a smaller Yorkie, ask your breeder when their next litter will be. There will be some "smaller" Yorkies in the litter from which to choose from. A respected breeder that is AKC registered. While that does not always determine that they are to be trusted 100%, there are standards and qualifications that AKC registered breeders must pass.

There are small, full-grown Yorkies that may only weigh 2 pounds. But, it is very rare for Yorkies to be that small. If you have a Yorkie that is on the small side of the scale, you must be very careful with them, as they are definitely more "fragile" than standard sized ones and you must take extra precautions with them, such as making sure they don't fall from a high place or that they don't jump off of places.

Members may price their Yorkies at any price they wish. You may or may not purchase the Yorkie at that set price, that is your choice. If you wish to negotiate with the seller, do so privately. Disparaging posts regarding prices may be deleted.

Please let us know if you see any posts where these rules are broken and we will evaluate the reported posts. If rules are violated, the member may be suspended or even banned.

In the interest of education and awareness, we will allow questions and comments to the Seller. Please keep in mind these are For Sale threads, not topical threads, even though some topical posts will be allowed. The subjective nature of these threads are monitored by the Admin/Moderator team.

Please note that if you post a For Sale thread, it will NOT BE REMOVED unless it breaks YorkieTalk rules. The contact information you provide will be shown and will not be deleted.

YorkieTalk is in no way affiliated with any breeders, Featured Breeders or not, and YorkieTalk makes no commission nor receives any payment when a Yorkie is sold via YorkieTalk.

We urge all members looking for Yorkies to please do their homework and research first before buying or putting a deposit on any Yorkie.

Good luck in your search!
