Sorry to hear about the BB black bits, they contain much of the good stuff so it is not good he does not eat them. I used to feed BB also and it is good food, and my boy would eat the black bits. He seemed to go off the food after a while so, as CC was praised here, I now feed it. My dog does well on it but he needs to have some 'seasoning' like Parmesan cheese sprinkle or other treat things he likes over the kibble. He then eats all every time! It is very small round kibble the size of caviar and I like that as my baby does not chew but swallows food whole! I feed Chicken and Millet as he is used to chicken based foods. The problem with this food is that you either have to get your store to order it or send away for it by mail. It is also not possible to get samples.
Another food similar to BB is Wellness, you might consider that?
