I agree with you that anal expressing should be done by the vet only.
When I took Sabu to get his bi-annual grooming, anal expressing was expected to be part of the "grooming" (widely known pet store). So Lovetodream88, I do stand corrected in that respect. However, when I took Julie for her first grooming that groomer hesitated to express her anal glands. I just remembered about Sabu. I still think a good groomer would hesitate to do an anal expression. Going forward, I'll just say, "I'll have my vet take care of it, thank you."
