Look, bottom line is that you wouldn't do that dog any good if you are not ready for it. You need this time to grieve and let the pain ease. You will always have that hole in your heart for Troy. No dog will ever replace him. But, when the time is right, you will know and you will find the right pup to help you move forward.

It will amaze you that when you DO get to that place, the new pup just makes your heart grow and makes its own spot in there. The place where Troy is will always be there and that hole..it will always be there..but it will shrink and fill up with loving memories. I promise.
