This is very sad.
Here we have marktplaats.nl where people put their dogs for adoption and where people sell pups and all sorts of animals.
Before coming here, I didn't know much about puppy mills, and didn't know I've we had that here as well.
Nena and Rufus both were bought from people selling them on the website.
We've been lucky, but now that I know better, I feel bad for doing it.
The yorkshire rescue here tells people that if they can't take care of their dogs anymore, not to put them for free but to ask a fee. That will avoid greeders from taking them and use them for breeding. |
