My DH & I made a very nice ramp for the bed out of plywood & carpet. It goes at the end of the bed but runs along the width of the bed instead of sticking straight out so saves space & were not tripping on it. I actually copied it from a pic here on YT from a couple yrs ago that someones DH made them one week end but now I can't find the darn thing on here. Any way my DH just measured the hight & width of our bed & copied the pic & I went to home depot & bought carpet to match the color of my bedding & used a staple gun to attach it & covered the whole ramp & we & the dogs Love it. I am going to make another one for the sofa that wraps around the side & comes up on the front corner so it's not sticking out in the room & also allows us more room on the sofa. It can also be covered with batting & fabric so it looks like an apholsterd piece of furniture. |
