Yeah, the memories sure do that, don't they? My conscious mind knows what happened, but my subconscious still hasn't come to terms with it. For instance, Sunday I remember running into the other room when someone was eating some fast food because Minnie would always be at one's feet begging for a piece. I used to like to tease her when she did that by covering her eyes with my hand or giving her a hug when as she would try her damnedest to break free and run over to try to beg for food. Of course then I realized she has been gone 3 weeks when I got there. If I hear a sound resembling a light pitter-patter on the wood floor sometimes I'll turn my head, briefly thinking it's Minnie coming to say hi. Those kind of moments still make me sad.
