When feeding a dog 50% of there food being human food you should not do it unless you have talked to a vet nutritionist and are giving the proper supplements. Feeding a dog human food with out the supplements and advise from a vet nutritionist you could actually be hurting your dog more then you know. My worry about someone just dropping a pup at your door step would be what if they stole it and someone is looking for it. Make sure he has a full vet check up. Collars should never ever be used on a small dog except for tags. My yorkie when I first got her I used a collar on her for about a month and she has mild collapsing trachea now and my moms rescue yorkie had been walked on a collar for 5 years until they got him and he has ct and had to go on medicine that he will probably have to take for the rest of his life so harnesses for when your using a leash and collar for tags only but you have to make sure your kids know not to pull on the collar.
