One time when Tibbe was sickly I made the mistake of giving him a kibble treat for eating all of his food, making a happy plate! I was thrilled he had eaten all of his meal. Well, you know what's coming. Now he eats for a while and comes to me for his praise and treat. Next thing I know he's back finishing his meal and then back for another treat!!! He's a big time cheater but he doesn't know it. To him he's just getting his rightful due and by the way, I'd better not linger in getting that treat or I get a little reminder bark and growl. He's not overly patient with me where his perceived "rights" are concerned. I'm fairly well-trained.
