At 4 months, 4 pound Bella took to getting on the sofa and jumping off with a heroic leap. It's onto carpeting, and she has not hurt herself--she seems to enjoy it. She also jumps off the bed now, but again, it's onto carpeting. I'd be more concerned if it were onto a hard floor. She is sensible enough not to jump off the back of the sofa--yet. She seems to be a good judge of what she can and cannot do. If you are concerned about what your little one might do while you are not at home, you might consider getting an x-pen to restrict his movement while you are away. |
