Thats a good idea! What we ended up doing, was I covered the entire playhouse with canvas and added pillow stuffing to the top step, middle step, and cubby hole for cushioning. We wanted to paint it, but that would not prevent the wood chewing, so this was the next best idea. Kahlua loves it even more now that it is softer. He chooses his playhouse over our bed now most of the time, lol.
