Well, I've been doing puppy pad training for the last 4 weeks. The only reason I started him on pads was because of the weather when I got him. My little guy is now 13 weeks old. I got him at almost 9 weeks. He has been doing pretty good with his pottying. He will go on it most of the time. Maybe 2 accidents a week on the carpet. But the majority of the time it is on his pad. I have been researching the differences between puppy pads and outdoor training. A lot of the things I read say to not use pads at all. And I would like to be able to take him to my parents house and friends house when he is older. Can I go ahead and start training him outside now? And what do you guys do when it is storming outside? I am terrified of lightning.
Any tips on how to start him training outside would be great!

I am home all day. I do have a crate for him. I know what his cues are for when he needs to potty.
