Absolutely! I tell them if they want to write a check, the check has to clear the bank before the puppy leaves here. The very worst skeuing I ever got was from a man in a 3 piece shark skin suit, driving a BMW, who paid for a gorgeous puppy with a money order that had been forged or stolen or what ever he did illegal with this useless piece of paper....I really can not rmemeber if it was a cashiers check or a money order...I never can keep those straight...) I trusted this smooth talking professional con artist....he even used to call from a huge bank from downtown, so it come up on my caller ID as coming from where he "worked"....which was a good thing because it then got the bank all involved because of a major security breech in their offices since the man did NOT work there, never had.....I usually just tell people if they ask if they can make final payment by check, I just tell them to go ahead and cash the check and just bring the cash....they get their baby, they get their receipt, and I get my balance due.
