Oh thank you, his face has always been light, but the saddle has been dark blue. Males tend to keep their darker blue coloring while a female will often get lighter with each heat. Also, pregnancy lightens some coats, but Joey's mom kept her dark blue all her life and I hear that's unusual for females. I think the light blue can be gorgeous too, but I guess the dark blue is the preferred coat.
