ZoE's breeder KNEW she would be silky, she was adamant about that, and it turns out she is. She just doesn't tangle. She will matt a little under her armpits if she wears a harness or some types of clothing all day and she walks alot. She also has a deeper gold rather than a lighter gold.
But I think there's more to having a great coat, IMO, because I wouldn't label ZoE's coat great. It is extremely slow growing, and seems somewhat fragile because it breaks off pretty easily. She eats good food and I use the best products on her, but I just think it's what she got dealt genetically. My last yorkie's coat took more time & management than ZoE's, but I her hair grew quickly and was much less prone to breakage. | My Eva Noel's coat is like that too. She has a silky coat, has a deeper gold and her coat seems more fragile than Bella or Doc's. I trimmed her hair a month ago, but now am letting it grow out. I'll post a photo. |
