Yappy Yorkie at night...help! Hollywood, my 9 month old yorkie, has a habit of barking every night at Pippa, my 1 year old yorkie. She does it every single night when my husband and two young daughters have gone to bed. Pippa likes to chew on her bully stick and Hollywood will just sit there and bark at Pippa nonstop for up to an hour if I let her. My husband and girls get woken up from her barking so I have to figure out a way to get her to stop. She rarely ever does it during the day and is actually very quiet otherwise, it just seems she gets extra feisty and vocal just before bed. I've tried encouraging her to chew on her own bully stick, I've given her time outs but she just cries/barks in her room and then continues when I let her out, I've said a sharp "No" and clap my hands loudly...she will stop for a second and then carry on. Any suggestions would be great, I figure I need to break this habit before she gets any older...thanks! |
