No, I'm not a breeder, but I've been reading the breeding forum for several years and I've gotten to know some of the breeders here and have learned some of the terminology. I still don't say things like bitch and sire, I say the puppy’s parents.
I've always thought of the word mentor connected with some profession and on a dog forum the only profession is breeding.
