I was told that it is very common to find them just the way Teddy's was found. That most do not have any symptoms at all. Not that none do...we all know they do; but apparently being asymptomatic is very common.
They often find them after the dog develops stones.
The signs and symptoms of hepatic encephalopathy are not very easily detected in dogs..much easier in humans because you can assess mental status.
