I paid cash, but she also gave me a receipt showing how much was paid in that it was in cash, on her kennel letterhead.
Most people won't accept a check and I don't blame them. Guess your only other option would be a cashier's check or money order.
I would suggest to check with the breeder on their preferred payment method. If you want to pay cash I would ask them to have a receipt prepared as proof of payment.
