Thank you everyone for your kind replies. Shortly after I posted, Knarly went into another attack. This time I just automatically picked him up and wrapped him in towel. It seemed to help a lot more, as before I was trying not to make it worse by moving him.

He is not eating well at all today, though he seems alert and in good spirits. I'm not sure if he just doesn't like the I/D or what, but he did eat it yesterday. :/ If he doesn't eat by later today, I will try cooking him up some rice and chicken...my go to method during these times.

It is really hard to get him to take his meds [liquid form] and he fights me every inch of the way. I am wondering if anyone knows when I should start to see improvement there? I have another appointment with my regular vet [I took him to a different vet this last time as mine couldn't see him until next day and I just couldn't stand sitting back watching him suffer] on the 11th that I all ready had scheduled from before...so I am hoping we can look into those other options or at least make a plan if not.
