Then I put the bow with the alligator clip between the band & the scalp, like a barrette. The band holds it in place so it doesn't slip out. I also get the alligator clips with the grippy stuff. You can add the grippy stuff to any alligator clip after it's in your cart.
Susan has these great little "training bows". They aren't stiffened & very light. They are sooo aborable on too! Baby Boutique Dog Bows : Top Quality, Handmade Dog Bows - Yorkie, Maltese, Shih Tzu - by BowBiz
Another product I LOVE is the "Clip-n-Go" bow. These aren't stiffened either. They look so simple online, but they're so cute on! They're also really easy to use. Clip 'n' Go : Dog Clips, Top Quality Dog Bows - Yorkie, Maltese, Shih Tzu - by BowBiz
As you can see, I prefer the unstiffened bows...because like I said, I always smush them & then they end up not looking so great. I need more practice!! I have a new little girl coming home TOMORROW! I need to get my bow skills on point asap
