It sounds like your baby is teething, and chewing can definitely help with that. You can try baby carrots cut into 1/4 sticks and frozen green beans. The cold will help his little gums feel better, plus he's getting a healthy snack that won't add too many calories to his diet.

As with anything he can chew, only give them to him when you can supervise. Even healthy veggies can pose a choking risk.
