Question Paragonimus stomach worm -

The vet found this in Bad Leroy Brown's stool test yesterday. They couldn't tell me anything about it. He's on a once a day treatment of Panacur for 3 days.

Does anyone know anything about it?

I've looked it up on the internet and don't like what I've found.......

Vet said that this is not intestinal parasite but it is in his stomach. Lots of them.

Internet said it's a lung fluke that is picked up from eating crayfish who have eaten infected snails.

Leroy certainly has never SEEN a crayfish! All I can figure is he must have stepped in something (racoon poo?) that was contaminated.

Poor little guy's tongue sticks out all the time and when he has his head to the ground sniffing, his tongue drags and comes in contact with everything.

Almost time for his second treatment . . . .
