Thank you for giving this cutie pie a loving and caring home. It's obvious in the pictures that he is going to flourish in your care. Sounds and looks like you have accomplished a lot in one week.
For peeing, I don't have any advice other than what you are already doing with the frequent potty breaks. Maybe part of it is his excitement about his new family and home and he will settle down in time. Maybe he is also getting accustomed to being groomed properly and will figure out he doesn't have to be as forceful.
