I would go get it checked out by a vet just to be safe. My parents' beagle has pulled the muscles in her front legs a couple times and acts in a similar manner (they still always take her to get an x-ray and a physical exam) but you definitely want to rule out anything being broken or any other orthopedic issues. Hopefully it's just a sprain that needs rest.
