What a confidence booster to say the least.
We never made our dd participate in any activity she didn't chose. Of course, sometimes her choices weren't what WE (actually her dad) wanted her to do, such as changing from playing softball (in which she excelled) to volleyball (good at that too, she does NOT have MY athletic ability)....but it's her decision.
