[QUOTE=Lorraine;4224560]For what it is worth, the MARS DNA test will not stand up in court as it is not a scientifically proven as in published in scientific genetic journals as acceptable data and research. This is per a conversation I have had with my very knowledgable Vet.
Well that may be so. But surely a rational defense can be made, which can include the MARS test as part of the defense. If let us say the MARS test comes back with oh lets take a reasonable guess of only 10% Yorkie, and much heavier percentages of other breeds in it, while not scientifically proven (yet), it is rather persuvasive coupled with exemplars of the breed standard at appropriate comparable ages.
WE should be getting a whole lot closer to accurate DNA mapping of all purebreds, perhaps even in our lifetime we shall see this.
