Food BB and Wellness are good foods with similar specifications as I remember. I feed Canine Caviar now because my dog went off the two abovementioned foods. ( why I know not!). The CC is fed by many here who love it but as it is a small company I don't know if it is rated. It has very small, caviar, size that I like as my dog does not chew his food. Even 'good rated' foods can sometimes have issues and one thing to look out for is if it is or has been recalled for any reason.
You will read here various reports on preferred foods, and what is good for one dog may not suit another. If you can get samples from a pet store to try first that is helpful. But usually stores will refund for any unliked food bags. I suppose you know this, but it is best to slowly introduce a new food by increasing its mix with existing food gradually over about a week. Sudden changes can cause gastric upset. Good luck, hope you have a dog who is not picky as many Yorkies can be.......drives us nuts!! |
