Happen here too and now are best friends Cachito, my Yorkie 5 pounds, used to chase D'artagnane, my siames cat 10 pounds, and bother him a lot, D'artagnane is not declawed, but he is a sweetheart, one day he got it and turn around and gave cachito a big paw in the butt, he didn't do it to hurt him bad, just enough, no nails out because cachito didn't have a scratch on him, cachito got scared and run to his bed and I did not interfear on it just leave him there until he came to me, next day he started again and D'artagnane jumped in top of him and laydown like for 5 minutes and that was the end of cachito chasing D'artagnane, now they are best buds and run and play together. I left D'artagnane to put his feet down 1. because he is the oldest and 2 because he was here first and cachito had to learn to respect him and D'artagnane needed to set bounderies. I was wanting to run and hug him and kiss him, but I knew that if I did that this will never end, before I got Cachito I had a smart, wise 16 ear old cat named Isabella, the love of my life and she teached D'artagnane not to bother her the same way, animals knows how to set bounderies and limitations better than us, they do not feel sorry because the dog is a puppy. My cat runs the house for sure. |
