I thought that meant Lyme, but I really don't know. I had a dog years ago with a tick, and I was told to put clear nail polish on it, it was really easy to pick up with a tweezers after I let the polish dry, but now they say don't use clear nail polish. Do you have a good phone relationship with you vet and his staff? I call mine about everything, they are really good about telling me what to look for and whether I need an office visit or not. So far, I've never need an office visit for any of my emergencies!
You could even email the picture to his office.
