They will figure out how to co-habitat in due time... just intervene when you sense trouble. If Bentley is a pup and your cat is full grown, the adjustment period may be longer for them to settle down around each other. I think if they are not hurting each other, they may even be kind of playing, teasing, testing the waters with each other, trying to decide who is going to be dominant. Guarantee it will be Nutter! LOL
